Bacon Cheese Dip (Recipe)

Bacon is probably one of the best foods ever created. Not sure why, but it goes with absolutely everything, from savory to sweet to beverages of all kinds. Here is one simple recipe that is perfect for watching the game, to serve as an appetizer or any other reason.

Here's what you'll need:

1 bread bowl (make your own or purchase)
6 slices thick-cut bacon
1 8-ounce block cream cheese
1/4 cup shredded medium-sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup shredded Havarti cheese
1/8 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Here's what you'll do:

- Slice the bacon into 1/4 inch pieces and cook over medium heat in a pan until crispy (about 10-12 minutes).
- Remove bacon from pan onto a paper towel-lined plate to drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Slice the top off the bread, cut that into slices and save for dipping.
- Hollow out the bread to make a bowl, slice the stuffing and also save for dipping.
- With a spoon, mix together the bacon, the block of room-temperature cream cheese, the cheeses and pepper.
- Spoon into the bread bowl.
- Top with more Parmesan cheese if desire.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving; it will be molten lava hot!
- Serve with bread pieces, tortilla chips, baby carrots, celery or crackers.
